POVERTY STOPS...

...When you no longer have to walk miles to fetch unsafe water.

In September 2008, Poverty Stops Here built a hand pump well for the people in Balogun Village to help reduce the amount of waterborne illnesses and to make life a bit easier for the villagers.

...When you no longer have to pay $4.00 for transportation to grind your crops.

In 2009, Poverty Stops Here purchased a cassava grinder, jack, and housing for the people in Gbawukuchi Village so they don't have to trek 12km (7.5 miles) or pay $4.00 for transportation to grind their crops in a neighboring market.
